What to see

Romanesque church documented since 1328, one of the oldest in the valley. The apse preserves a cycle of frescoes from 1532 of notable value: Christ in glory, the twelve Apostles, and the Annunciation, with Leonardo-like influences filtered through Luini. The larch ceiling on transverse arches recalls typical models of the Alto Lario. Abandoned in 1627 when the care passed to the new parish church in the village, it remains an intact testimony of 16th-century art and faith.
