Santa Croce di Naro

What to see

Santa Croce di Naro is a small church nestled in the woods above Gravedona ed Uniti, in the hamlet of Naro: simple on the outside, but with an incredible view of the lake when the sky is clear. It has been documented since at least 1578 (pastoral visit by Bonomi), but its origins are likely older.

Its gem is the apse frescoed by Sigismondo de Magistris (1529), featuring sacred scenes and figures that give character to the entire interior.

  Chiesa Santi Eusebio e Vittore - Peglio

  On foot from Naro, you can comfortably reach the Church of Saints Eusebius and Victor in Peglio in 20 minutes. This is a Baroque gem situated on a panoramic hill that overlooks the Upper Lake of Como. Built in the early 1600s, it houses a spectacular cycle of frescoes by Fiamminghino and a precious Renaissance organ. The complex is also distinguished by its evocative porticoed forecourt and the ancient ossuary.
